Alexandru Agapie
Professor
Dr. Alexandru Agapie has worked with the National Institute for Microtechnology, Bucharest and the Fraunhofer Institute for Autonomous Intelligent Systems, Sankt Augustin, Germany.
Currently, he is Professor with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Senior Researcher with the “Gheorghe Mihoc – Caius Iacob” Institute of Mathematical Statistics and Applied Mathematics of the Romanian Academy, Bucharest. His fields of interest are stochastic processes applied to evolutionary algorithms and to socio-economic models.
Dr. Agapie was a DAAD Research Fellow at TU Dortmund, Germany in 2011, a NATO-COBASE Research Fellow at Montana University, Missoula, USA in 2000 and has received a Student Fellowship Award at the IEEE International Conference on Evolutionary Computation, Nagoya, Japan, 1996.
